Whether you celebrate Mardi Gras or nah, it’s impossible to ignore Mobile, Alabama’s beautiful French influence. This southern city is the oldest original Colony of French Louisiana and birthplace of America’s original Fat Tuesday party. ⚜️ To honor it’s rich history there is no better way than to beignet!!
A close friend of mine was confident I would adore Mo’ Bay Beignet Co. and she was not wrong! Less than two hours away from my home in Pensacola, it was the perfect sugary stop to start my Mobile shopping day.

When you walk in do not, as I did, judge your neighbor for the powdered sugar mess they left. You will soon be deep in the same ordeal. Beignets are not the neatest eat, but boy are they delicious!
* Pardon the greenery. The pictures taken are shared from this past December.

Buttercream and cinnamon syrup are offered as sides to dip your beignets. A seasonal sauce might be offered? During December gingerbread seasoning was available.
I highly recommend eating your choux pastry with a hot cup of coffee.

Need a not-your-average cafe to meet up with a significant other? Perhaps, you would like to host a small gathering of friends? Not only is the food tasty and conversational, but it’s architectural aesthetics are appeasing to all. With vintage white brick walls, spacious seating, and downtown views, this is the perfect place to make space for what matters most. Mo’ Bay Beignet is making Mobile sweeter.
