Episode 73: Professional Baseball Player Tate Matheny

One of the most played episodes this season on the podcast is with our incredible friend lifestyle blogger Margaret Matheny. It was a true joy to listen to her openly share about her journey of heart transformation through following Jesus and how we can all improve our lives by living toxin-free. A major part of Margaret’s testimony involves baseball and being married to professional athlete.

Tate Matheny is an amazing husband and loving father, who happens to be a professional baseball player for the MiLB. While spending his entire life loving and growing up in the game he approached a moment in his athletic career where he wanted to walk away from playing baseball.

Rather than acting on emotions Tate placed this decision before the Lord. Even though it was difficult at the time he felt God calling him to stay, to keep playing.

I am so excited to share my conversation with Tate! You will not meet a more humble dude and friends, do not take his honesty for granted. He could have easily only highlighted his many accomplishments and opted out of talking about the anything but glamorous moments of the game. Just like his wife Margaret Tate is all about getting real. I am always beyond thankful for this and for all of the hardwork he and his family cultivate in encouraging other to walk closer with Christ.

Friends you know I have been praying for God to send me some athletic friends to hang out with on the show. What a fun and great honor!

Welcome to ‘Still With You’ professional baseball player Tate Matheny.
