Raised in the rural community of Paris, Missouri, Country Music Artist Becky Denton‘s childhood was chock full of experiences with music. From singing along to Dolly Parton tracks on her parents’ record player to learning how to play guitar and writing her own songs, it was evident at an early age that Becky was a natural performer. Her rich, dynamic vocals and beautiful ability to strike a heart chord with her audience carried her from opening at county fairs to releasing her first album, Fire and Grace. It seems Becky has always had what it takes to work hard and pursue her dreams.

Becky has had four songs chart on Australia’s Country Top 40 Airplay Chart. “I Love Dolly” made it as high as #18.

Her music has traveled beyond the borders of the United States receiving FM airplay in Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, and Europe.

“Two Bags, One Beach” landed on Tiki Man Radio’s Top 50 Artist and Songs of 2019 Coastal Americana Chart.

Fire and Grace features collaborations with a bevy of talented musicians, songwriters, and producers, including Brent Rader (Joe Nichols, JoDee Messina), Matt Erickson (Luna Halo, AirXSin), Brent Barcus (Shania Twain, Steven Curtis Chapman) and her husband, drummer, and co-producer Will Denton (LeAnn Rimes, dc Talk, Tracy Lawerence, and The Farm).

When I was in eighth grade my friend Amber introduced me to Becky at one her live shows. If only I would have known that one day, as in TODAY, I would have the opportunity to interview and befriend one of my childhood heroes! Similar to Becky’s story I too was raised in a small town in Missouri where country music filled the air. This is a part of my roots that I am very proud of. If you did not know this about me already, you certainly will by the end of our interview. Anytime I can welcome a Missouri girl to the ‘Still With You’ mic I certainly will.

I cannot wait for you to hear Becky speak about her journey as an artist and her latest album. Just wait until you hear the backstory of her album art and its ties to Queen Anne’s Lace! It gives me chills every time I think about this. It is truly a God thing!

Becky is always so generous in sharing her gifts and inspiring us through her music to be better and more loving people. The way she speaks so candidly about her relationship with Jesus is a true reminder of how loving our Heavenly Father is to us. I am so grateful for her being so kind to me at her shows so many years ago. I will always treasure our friendship and be reminded by her words to be kind and never take any connection for granted. ✨

A few corrections to note: Becky’s first concert was not at Missouri State Fair seeing Brooks & Dunn and Faith Hill. Prior to this it was actually John Michael Montgomery and  Doug Stone at the Montgomery County Fair in Montgomery City, Missouri. Coming full circle, years later Becky played at the Montgomery County Fair in 2008 and 2009 opening for Shooter Jennings  and Little Texas, respectively.
