Rhythms of work and rest not only move hand in hand in walking towards health, but are Biblical practices set from God for us to obediently follow. To honor this commandment every seventh week of ‘Still With You’ we share a moment of rest and being in the word of God together. This week we are walking through Matthew 9 NLT, a chapter chock-full of Jesus’ incredible miracles and compelling instruction. From rolling up a mat, calling out a tax collector, discussions about fasting, healing in response to faith, and posting an urgent need for fieldworkers, this passage of scripture is a reminder of the sovereign love and authority our Savior carries. Grab a straw for sipping (plastic or paper is optional!) and slide an extra ice cube or two into your drink as we settle into pure refreshment of scripture. Matthew 9 is robust read for anyone craving to learn more about the Kingdom work of Jesus and our underserved privilege of partnering with His plans.
